"Historically the word, Remembrancers, referred to debt collectors, reminding people of things they would rather forget. During Howard's term as Prime Minister, I believe there have been certain issues that challenged ideas on what it is to be Australian. History is integral in producing a sense of Australian-ness and tensions arise between one nationalist idea on identity and history as a 'fragmented stew' of multi-narratives, memories and experiences that is more inclusive of a multi-diverse Australian society. In this work, I have utilised combinations of iconic shapes, drawings, photographic imagery and text to explore some of these ideas, tensions and representations during Howard's historical term." This book was exhibited in 'Lessons in History I" at Grahame Galleries and Editions in 2007.
