Further information:
A literary and art criticism magazine published in Geelong, Victoria, Australia 1931-35. Edited (principally) by Harry Tatlock Miller.

"Manuscripts' began in November 1931, with an issue of a few hundred copies, as a heterogeneous collection of manuscripts by known and unknown writers, decorated by known and unknown artists. It was criticized, it was praised, and above all, it was encouraged....
There is evidence now that Australia is rousing from her lethargy, and is about to take a wider and more tolerant interest in Art and Letters.
It is for this reason 'Manuscripts' is to be published no longer as an occasional miscellany, but as a miscellaneous quarterly of the Fine and Applied Arts." (from the Editorial)

Contributions also from Klyte Slater, Leon Gellert, Eric Thake, John Lloyd, D'Auvergne Boxall, John Lloyd, Dorrit Black, Marjorie Wood etc.
