"In preparation I read some autobiographical work by a variety of people with different backgrounds; some in translation. Many authors acknowledged there were personal problems involved in writing about friends and relatives. Even if disguised in fiction this aspect of the genre was difficult. "I questioned my past and found more to question. I wrote and clarified some puzzling discoveries. I painted to help me understand." Anne Twigg |
