Interestingly, in the first article Max Harris responds to the Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer speech that was published in The Manchester Guardian (30/12/54). It was a speech given by J. Robert Oppenheimer, director of the Institute for Advanced Study, on December 26, 1954, which dealt with the relationship between art and science.
